Description

Petit Verdot is best known as a grape used in the blending of Meritage style wines. It adds subtle flavor nuances, tannin, acid and color to the blend. We use it in several blends. By itself, it has dark berry, chocolate, cola, leather, and espresso nuances focused on the lower front palate. Malbec accentuates the berry flavor. The four acre Mandigo Vineyard is in Kenwood, just up the road from Deerfield. We do all the farming, making it an Estate Vineyard. A picturesque Victorian house in the center of the vineyard whispers a rich Sonoma Valley history.
