2005 Gold, Late Harvest - 375ml

2005 Sauvignon Blanc

The nose fills your head with lush aromas of ripe apricots, dried peaches and tropical flowers. The taste is exotic, sweet but not cloying; it’s like dried apricots over Cream Brulée, rich and sumptuous.

$50 each

Description

Gold is a unique wine. Under rare and ideal conditions Botrytis Cyneria mold grows on the grapes late in the season, engulfing the clusters and concentrating the sugars. We stop the fermentation before the wine becomes dry, retaining natural sugars, and a distinct flavor from the Botrytis. The combination is a unique taste experience unlike anything else in nature. As Gold is poured, your senses are tantalized by its golden hue. The nose fills your head with lush aromas of ripe apricots, dried peaches and tropical flowers. The taste is exotic, sweet but not cloying; it’s like dried apricots over Cream Brulée, rich and sumptuous.

I prefer Tawny as an end of the evening wine, often with a cigar. It is great with dark chocolate. The dark chocolate truffles I make, often available in the tasting room, are flavored with Deerfield Tawny. Santé Robert Rex

Introducing our first ever @Rosé! The grapes for @Rosé are picked later in the season resulting in an off-dry, or slightly sweet Rosé. The acidity is softer, & the color pinker. The luscious fruitiness explodes across your palate; Perfect for a summer day. Don’t be afraid to throw in an ice cube
