2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, Wolf Run Vineyard
This is the premier release of Wolf Run Cabernet. We like Cabernets from the mountain tops. The sparse, rocky soil, the full exposure to the sun, the rootstocks selected for low yield in mountain vineyards produce Cab that is dense, intense and complex. We aged it for 44 months in our cave. It is delicious now and will improve over many years of aging.
Description
This is the premier release of Wolf Run Cabernet. The Sonoma Valley AVA includes the mountains and ridges that define the valley. The AVA is based on watershed. We like Cabernets from the mountain tops. The sparse, rocky soil, the full exposure to the sun, the rootstocks selected for low yield in mountain vineyards produce Cab that is dense, intense and complex. We aged it for 44 months in our cave. It is delicious now and will improve over many years of aging. Drink some now, drink some later, enjoy it always. 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot
