Description

Valley Oak Vineyard is at the mouth of a shallow Canyon on the Yulupa Creek as it enters the Bennett Valley, a mountain valley appellation that is part of the greater Sonoma Valley AVA. Malbec, Merlot, and Pinot love it here. It is a bit cooler than Sonoma Valley, which helps retain the fruitiness in the Malbec, which tastes a lot like blackberries. We added a bit of Merlot to enhance the nose and Petit Verdot for some spice. It pairs well with full-bodied dishes, Asian food, and chocolate.
