Description

The Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County is one of the best places on the planet to grow Zinfandel. Originally from the shores of the Adriatic Sea, Zinfandel was brought to California immigrants in the 1820's. Over the 200 years it has morphed into what is now California's Zinfandel. Steve and Candice Sommer have grown Zinfandel in Dry Creek Valley for almost 50 years. Robert has been making Zinfandel for 51 years. It's a great pairing! Zin is a powerful wine, robust, spicy and concentrated. We enjoy it most with steaks off the grill and at the end of a wine dinner with a chocolate dessert.
